Looking Forward

I have been doing a lot of thinking (and I know that some will say, "it's about time!") about the state of the church and the direction Bethany has been going. I am very, very encouraged to see so many people wanting to serve the Lord and His church. Here are a few practical things for us from the book of James:

  1. Submit to God (James 4:7, NKJV) -- We need to be totally devoted to Christ and have His Word in our hearts and do His work as His hands.
  2. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (James 4:7, NKJV) -- Satan is no match for the power of the Spirit that indwells every believer. Don't let him steal your joy!
  3. Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. (James 4:11, NKJV) -- What a powerful statement James makes. We aught to seek to build each other up and not destroy on another.
  4. To him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin. (James 4:17, NKJV) -- There you have it folks... the sins of commission and omission combined.

Blessings to you as you seek to do the Lord's will.

Shalom.
